Another wonderful day in the neighborhood

Little did I know, I had left my lights on and would return to a car with a dead battery and thus have an awful evening. At least I don't need a new alternator. . . yet.

I'm a zombie

Today was a day I would have liked to have skipped class, but couldn't. While trying to sleep, I was seized by a migraine that wouldn't allow me to sleep until about an hour before I had to get up. Regardless, I drug myself to class and tried to make the best of it. Which really means that I tried my best to stay awake. After my first class, I went and had a super healthy, nutritious lunch. The Walnut Street McDonald's does not have good fountain soda. Just a warning.

It's time

Had dinner (liquid diet) with a smuck [sic] then saw Dinner with Schmucks. It would have been a great day if my car wasn't the biggest schmuck of them all.

Gizmo is addicted to barking

Your lovin' can't pay my bills

Today was one of those days that wouldn't quit. I attempted to relax on my day off, but no dice. Before I could even get in the shower, shit started to hit the fan. Part of it was my own fault. I forgot to sign a form for my renter's application, so I had to rush back to Lindenwold just to sign it. That sucked. When you drive to Collingswood every other day of the week, the last thing you want to do is make a similar, but longer trip on your day off. Worse than that was I discovered that my student financial plan was completely fucked. All the way to Lindenwold I was thinking how much I wanted to quit school, stay at home, get a crappy job and earn some money for a while. I was in a panic, but I've chilled since then and I'm not going to quit. Be that as it may, my money situation is at an all time low. I need a bail out plan big time. My fingers crossed that this whole mess can be worked out. I'm trying hard not to stress about it, or even think about it. It just puts up all these walls in my mind and paralyzes me. I sometimes feel absolutely paralyzed by financial concerns. Alas, I have the support of my family and friends and that is the most important thing. I would definitely be a people watching hobo if it wasn't for them. Well, in reality, if it wasn't for my mother. I'm spoiled with good luck to have her.

Stop this at once!

A lot of things contributed to this day being awful. I'm not going to go into it because it'll just make me mad. But I do know one thing for certain, I will be so thrilled when I'm done this Basic Algebra class. And you'd think it was because of the subject, but it's really not.

What a stupid day.

Today sucked. I had a list of things I wanted to get done and I didn't get any of it done. I woke up to discover that we not only didn't have a working toilet in the house, but we also didn't have any running water. I don't remember the exact details behind all of the ins and outs of what they were doing, but I do know there was an enormous trench around my front porch out to the road at least 6 feet deep. They were changing out pipes and installing new ones. In digging down to pipe level, they burst the sewer pipe. If anything can go wrong, it does around here. It's just par for the course. So what was supposed to take a few hours, took until about 5 in the evening. At 3, my parents left for a hospital function they had to attend in Philadelphia and I was left to play plumber's assistant and run up and down and all around turning water on and off and whatever they needed. It was really hot and I hadn't had a shower and I couldn't use a bathroom and I just was feeling so gross and moody. It was not a fun day! After all that madness was over and I got a shower, Jamie and I went to the Cosmopolitan to get some food. Since it was warm, we sat outside. El fresco! And check out the sweet view we had! Nothing like dining out with the view of a charred bowling alley and the setting sun. Ah Vineville. So glorious.

This is my nightmare

Last night I had a dream. I don't remember everything that happened, but the thing I remember most was my mother calling the school and telling someone that I wasn't going to be able to come in because she had to take me to the ER. Why? Because I had such a severe headache. Then I woke up with a ridiculously severe headache. It was a beast. I'm not going to complain about it, though. I'm just going to leave it at that. I bitched enough in my post yesterday. I survived and I did not go to the ER. Amen.

A post for you to ignore completely

You'll never believe what I got up to today! It was terribly exciting. I did homework! Basically ALL day! I was talking with Jamie about how lame the break between quarters was. I've come to realize that in the time span that "most" colleges are doing one midterm and one final, I'm doing two midterms and two finals. I've really got my work cut out for me. I never have time to do anything except my work. It sucks to work so much and so hard and miss out on seeing everyone. Even when I do have time, I don't have the money to do anything. And all the confusion with financial aid and student loans and FAFSA and all this mess is really a drag lately. It's really bringing me down. Everything takes too long and costs too much. I just had a vacation, but it was probably not the wisest time to take a vacation. When I got back from Florida, I needed a vacation from my vacation. haha I'm so ready for June to be here. Especially June weather! This shit we've had lately is ridiculous.

Alright. That's enough. I'm going to stop whining like a baby. Just a little vent session. I do realize how lucky I am to be able to do what I'm doing so forgive my weak moments. Furthermore, I'm glad to find out who my real friends are. And I'm so appreciative to have friends that understand and support what I'm doing. You know who you are! Love you guys!!

Super special kind of asshole night

Thanks to my brain that would not stop tossing and turning things over and over and over, even my sleeping aid couldn't get me to sleepy hollow. This lead to a very fun day for me. I say that with all sarcasm. I was so exhausted I couldn't even eat. And I've gone without sleep before, but for some reason I just felt like the walking dead. Of course it was my longest day. That's the way it always works. Damn you, Murphy! You and your stupid law!

It's better than my ethics class, though

I hate this. It's supposed to be Zooey Deschanel. I can't find the picture I drew it from, but I think it's for the best that I not demonstrate that along with it. haha I got fed up with it not turning out how I wanted it to and just kind of finished it. That's why the hair isn't very finely tuned. What do you guys think?

Like the news, everyday you get pressed

What an awful day. I woke up with a headache and the hiccups, which was clearly an omen. I was looking forward to a day of studying for my Art History final and relaxing, but all of those plans had to be swept under the rug when I attempted to open my Image Manipulation final project to print them. We had to create a realistic magazine cover and an ad which would be in said magazine. The cover opened just fine, but the ad that I worked on for 4 hours last Wednesday when my class got canceled would not open at all. No matter what I did, it was toast. Somehow, someway the file was corrupted and I had to start from scratch. So, that's about all I did for the rest of my Monday. These kind of things really push me away from 3D animation...

Yet another rainy day

Despite feeling like I was falling prey to some kind of cold or illness, I was able to finish my art paper! There is a certain relief that follows the completion of a paper that I've been struggling with. That's definitely the best part of the writing process! Having that been and done, I prepared to go out and have a nice hang with a few of my favorite people, but plans were changed last minute and I wound up a tad overdressed at Ruby Tuesday's with two mini cow burgers and a mess of rice. You just never know how your night is going to turn out. Or your meal for that matter.

take care, team xo

Make each one count

I have nothing to say along with this photo, but it's too cute not to post. So there you have it. In completely unrelated news, the Stride gum commercial with the guys riding ostriches is kind of scary. They sound like Spitters from Jurassic Park. I'm never chewing Stride gum. Good work advertisement. You just scared me from your product for good this time!

Lookie, it's March!

My crazy feet

Due to an abnormal amount of horrendous feet and toe cramps the night before, my feet were tight and sore and I wasn't too stoked about going to class. My mother talked to a doctor friend of hers about my feet woes and told me later on that this kind of thing was not normal for someone my age. I've been frequently plagued by various toe cramps here and there, but normally after I eat a few bananas, I'm back to normal. This week, I've eaten a banana everyday and had the worst cramps in my feet of my life. And I also heard it was due to dehydration, but I was definitely not dehydrated. The latest theory is that they're possibly caused by exhaustion. That could be true. It's hard to say since they're essentially a medical mystery to a certain degree. There just seems to be a slew of theories. I guess you run through the list and find out what works. Well, we're taking the advice of a doctor and trying out the tonic water cure. Tonic water has quinine in it which is used for a multitude of things, but most importantly for leg cramping. The problem with this cute? Tonic water tastes disgusting! Ugh. In my opinion it's horrible. My mother thought I was crazy, but it was such a struggle for me to drink a glass of it. I tried to do a Michael Scott cure and add sugar to it, but it didn't dissolve and didn't help much. Splenda next time. ;) Anyway, fingers crossed that this works! Mind over crampage!

ps. I blame the swine flu vaccine. maybe it didn't directly cause my cramps, but I've definitely felt exhausted since getting it... so... you tell me if there's any correlation!
