Farewell, Gettysburg!

Last day on the battlefield.
Departed all mustered out.

Gettysburg is windy

 

Second day in Gettysburg. The Jennie Wade House should be called the Georgia Wade House. Or perhaps the Jennie Wade Death House. Or, really, the Ginnie Wade Death House. I guess that's a little dark. Ah well. Speaking of dark, visited the cemetery. So many "unknown" graves. Quite sad. Visited another wax museum. Also quite sad. Then bailed on Gettysburg for the pool in Chambersburg. It's what Jeb Stuart would have wanted.

To Gettysburg!

 

 

Made it to Chambersburg, checked in, and found out the pool was CLOSED. WTF, Four Points?! So, then, we went to Gettysburg. Went walk about. Went to a wax museum dedicated to the Presidents of the United States. Abraham Lincoln and Eisenhower are major favorites of Gettysburg. Major favoritism. Dinner at Dobbin House. George Washington put his seal of approval on the ice cream and sorbet. Didn't have any. Might have if Lincoln or Eisenhower had loved it. Went on the Farnsworth House Candlelight Ghost Tour. Ghosts were EVERYWHERE. They even followed us home. Hitch hiking ghosts are no joke.

Last day with my mama

I love when she comes to visit,

but I hate when she goes away!

So much family, so little time

Much needed shopping with my mama.
Dinner with my grandmother & uncle.
Jedi battles with my brother & nephew.
Sherlock Holmes II & a massive thunderstorm.

Shells aren't selling on the sea shore in OC

First trip to the shore (this summer)
First slice of Mancos pizza (this summer)
First dip in the ocean (this summer)
First fresh, grilled tuna steak dinner (ever?)
???? hair coloring (this year)

Oh, boy!

As if the gift of my mother visiting wasn't enough,
she also surprised me with the complete series of Quantum Leap!
G4 just lost a faithful viewer at 4am.
