Look who's here!

So long February!
For being the shortest month,
you seemed to last forever.

We had people living in our hallway

Today was George Harrison's birthday. To celebrate, I set myself on fire. It seemed like the best way to honor him. I also worked on the psychological thriller about diabetes that I'm transcribing for my uncle, gave Gizmo a bath, and taught him about the water needs of the Republic of Congo. Which was very controversial. Clearly, I had an unbelievable day!

ps. look at this picture big so you can see Gizmo's pound puppy impersonation!

Not to mention valuable

Hit up the open mic at the Bus Stop Cafe in Uptown Pitman, New Jersey this evening. Hadn't been since last year! As we move closer and closer to spring, so shall I make my triumphant return to the darling little Jersey music scene. And then I'll see Fran more often and I won't have to take his picture so I remember what he looks like. This is what he looks like. Jamie goes just because he's such a great sound guy. She may not participate, but she can't get enough of his skillz (that's what she said).

stand up, dad, take a bow

While laying on my bed nursing a mysterious pain in my abdomen I created my second etch-a-sketch masterpiece. This is either really awesome or really sad. I think probably more sad. Hmm... Yep.

I swear to God that never happens

Went out shopping with my mother and when we saw this she said, "you haven't had a new one in a long time" and was ever so kind enough to get this for me. It got me thinking about how many people even know I have my naval pierced. Can't be more than a handful, really. So, hey world, I have my naval pierced! I have since I was 16. Unlike many girls that got it around that time, I didn't really show mine off nor did I get it infected and have to remove it. I remember a girl in my driver's ed class who sat behind me and picked puss off of her naval ring. Revolting. I'm surprised the sight of it didn't give me an infection.

Happy Birthday, Jamie!

Some Canadian members of Metric decided to pop down to Philly to do a surprise show for Jamie's birthday. I didn't know they were so moved by her birth, but I'm glad that they were! They essentially did a "campfire test" of their new album, sprinkled with some oldie, but goodies. It was awesome. Thanks for being born, Jamie!

Keep the money!

Gizmo and I need to straighten up and fly right. Lingering between sickness and health (me) and not scratching and then biting again (Gizmo) has got to stop! We can't go on this way! But, it should be mentioned, Gizmo looks a lot cuter in his funnel than I do when I'm feeling under the weather. Though, when I lose my voice, I can do the Carrie Bradshaw scream. Who doesn't love that?

Can you hear me?

Behold a sight that has not been witnessed since... hm mm... I'm not exactly sure... sometime last year. What am I talking about? An open CD-rom! Well, to be more accurate, a DVD-rom! My CD-rom decided to up and quit on me a while back. Just refused to open. Even when my brother came by and attempted to pry it open, that bitch would not budge. But for work reasons, it was a necessity to get the situation remedied. And it's a sweet deal! I can actually burn CDs again! Yay!

Playing ketchup!

I spent $0.34 for my Lily Allen CD (technically)...
And it's splendid! Go pick up a copy for yourself.
Even if you have to pay a lil' more than I did!

Dig This! from jenell o'boogie on Vimeo.

YouTube makes me really mad. I'm following Lisa's lead and I'm switching to Vimeo! Vimeo rules the school! If not for Vimeo, sharing this video in its true form would not be possible! I'm definitely going to unleash Gizmo's rug fury onto some YouTube exec's faces! They best watch out! A reckoning is coming!

We got robbed

If you're like Jamie, you had no idea that there's a brand spankin new super Walmart in our area. It's pretty super; for a Walmart. I guess. It's enormous. Perhaps excessively so. And if a new Walmart isn't cool enough for you, then I don't know what more I can offer you. Clearly not my musical genius! PFFFTT!

I like sunlight

I sort of don't work at Aeropostale anymore and I am in the possession of a 3 year old Gardenia Bonsai. How are these two things related? They aren't. They just happened on the same day and were both note worthy; despite the confusion this little bonsai created. If I was still filled with Aero stress, I might not have been able to handle it! Perfect timing!

The queen is innocent

You've Been Procrastinating
Too Long If...

While perusing old blog entries, you find the post depicting the day you got the shirt you're currently wearing.

I'm such a loser.

Let's get tropical!

Accumulation. This is a word that I do not like. It never means anything good to me. "Snow accumulation is little to none" or "you have accumulated millions of dollars this year" never come my way. Always the other way around. It's total balls. What I do like on the other hand? Having completed my second to last day of work!

Hoo-ha!

ps. too brilliant to pass up!
