Does this slide?!

My job is dangerous, lemme tell ya. First I cut my finger on some boxes which I didn't notice til I saw blood on the boxes. But that was really the least of my problems when I went to put something on the lowest shelf, lost my balance, and put my knee right into a sensor pin I didn't know was on the floor. Stabbed at work! Impaled in the knee! In case you're a little clueless on my retail jargon, I'll explain. We have security sensors that we put on the clothes with these pins that you stick through the clothes and into the little security device. They're not real big, but the pin is about an inch or so long and when an inch of metal went into my knee, it hurt pretty bad. I felt something go into my knee and I looked and only saw the white of the pin. I've seen that plenty of times when I've looked on the bottom of my shoe, but never through my jeans into my knee!! Then I had to all pull it out. So gross. And painful. I didn't tell anyone at work because I hadn't shaved my legs in a few days and I didn't want anyone to ask to look at it! hahaha Not that you can see anything since it look just like a little razor cut anyway. But my mom thinks I should go in tomorrow and let them know it happened just in case. It's probably going to be fine. The area around my knee hurts, but I think I'll be fine. I soaked in the tub for a while when I got home and it felt a lot better after that. For all the injuries I have at least I have super cute band-aids!!

I know about the whole thing

I got a new camera for Jesus' birthday and I've been playing with it a lot. And it came with "film" software so I made this. Don't get excited, Lisa. The software has even less options than Windows Movie Maker! Buuuut...Gizmo is cute so it's worth a look!

All I can really say is I had a really Mr. Toad's Wild Ride day which included crazy amounts of fog, hair in a burger, grillz, naughty steps, closet envy, R. Kelly trapped in the closet, and the most bizarre, disturbing trip to Miner St ever. Bar none.

That's right, today, four years ago, Gizmo Wilkerstinitious came into this world! And with that, a life was saved; my own! He's difficult, he's moody, but he's loved beyond words can express! Perhaps even more than music can express. Not to say I haven't tried! Hm, born on Boxing Day, maybe that's why he's such a fighter. If he wasn't so cute, he'd be living in a trashcan.

Closing Time at Aeropostale

This video is a lie. Aero is never fun enough to warrant Wham! For the nth time, I nearly quit today! If Aero was worthy of a little jitterbug I'd never feel this way! I won't go into any details, but I'm getting to my breaking point. I say that a lot, don't I? Well, it's okay, I made a special promise that I would be out of there by Jamie's birthday anyway. So, if anyone knows of any great job opportunities....

I've been procrastinating and putting off wrapping gifts, but today I finally got it done. Whenever I get my work schedule, I try to plan out times to do other things in my head. Most importantly, artistic things. I try to fit it in here and there between work, family, my social life, and my sleep. So, wrapping presents didn't seem to fall anywhere in my scheduling until I realized that Christmas was nearly here (over for some). That made gift wrapping priority one today. That being said, it took me a while to even get to that. How can I wrap gifts when Lady Gaga is on? Can't! That being said, I did this while I wasn't wrapping presents over the weekend. It's not great, but check it out for a giggle:

you could never hold my hand in public

Gizmo Wilkerstinitious received his least favorite of things tonight; a bath. His skin problems aren't much improved despite all the trips to the vet and special shampoos and what not, but we preserver! It is worth it in the end. He looks devastatingly handsome and is a bit calmer on the itch-scratch front. My hands on the other hand are very unhappy. This medicated shampoo burns the many little nicks and cuts on my hands and makes them so raw and dry. Lotion will be no use to me as they're at their dry point of bursting into flames if any sort of lotion is put about them asides from basically pure petroleum jelly. But if you've ever put petroleum jelly on your hands you know it's a huge, gross feeling mess. So, that must wait! My hands will just have to suffer until then.

In somewhat related news, I have a blister on my finger from the hangers at work. Isn't that ridiculous? I need to quit on that basis alone. I've got blisters on me fingers!

And for all of you haters out there, Gizmo is not a prick. He just loves me more than the average monkey, chicken, or dog. Ferociously so!

I took a little video of Samuel opening the gifts my mother and I brought over because he was so cute about it, putting clothes on his head and throwing them across the room, but I won't bother to post it up here! It's not quality film work! It's not up to snuff for my blog! And, excuse me, it's personal. Geez. You guys are rude. ;)

congratulations, cause we made it all the way home

Christmas is quickly approaching and I do believe that I'm finally done all of my holiday shopping. I think. This is probably a new record for me. I can't believe that when I get paid on Thursday that I'll get to put that money in the bank and not spend it all on gifts. That's pretty sweet. Not that it'll be very much! Ihatemyjob.

Got some new lights. Trying to salvage some Christmas spirit. You'd think I'm full of it considering that I'm all done shopping, my room is sparkling with festive lights, and I did a cover of "Blue Christmas" for the band page. But I'm not really. I can't believe next week is Christmas. These weeks have been flying by. No doubt about that. For awhile I thought December 11th would never arrive, and now it's been and gone.

I'm not sure if it's Christmas that is bumming me out or the fact that I have to go to work tomorrow. Hmmm...

This photo is for the persons involved in the accident that left me without my car for the entire month of November. November; as in the month my car needed to be inspected. Thanks to your poor defensive driving skills, I had to sit in a line at the inspection station for an hour. Without my cellphone. It's not directly your fault that I forgot my cellphone at home, but I indirectly blame you. Despite all of this folly, Shermin passed inspection and we're gonna keep on kickin' it! Can't stop, won't stop!
