This is fuckin' weird.
I think I prefer this. I guess I'm just a new age kind of girl.
And now I return to my extensive work on cardiovascular disease.
There's a little something that I have to speak about here in my blog. It's not really little, but I have to speak about it. It's important to me to speak about. I would have made an update about it yesterday, but I was too bummed about it and I had a show in Pitman to prepare for and perform at. Be that as it may, you probably read that Paul Newman passed away on Friday. As with all terrible news, my brother, Andrew, informed me of this. He didn't intend to this time, though. When I sign on AIM I frequently first browse my friends away messages and it just so happens that his said, "RIP Cool Hand Luke" and I swear the world stopped turning for a second. Granted, he was 83 years old and that's a nice long life to have led by all means, but it's just sad. I adore Paul Newman. Even his cookies. Every time my mother goes to the store, I request Ginger-o's which is a cookie made by the Paul Newman company. For weeks she was unable to find them and while we were in Target just the other week, I turned the corner and there they were! And I was skipping and so happy! Now I think there will be a bittersweet taste in every bite. :(

So, I got my hair did! I don't know how I feel about it. I tried to take my color back to it's natural hue. I cut some length off and thinned it out a bit. What do you think? I'm a little uneasy about it. Maybe if I dye my eyebrows to match I'll feel better? Maybe I won't feel like this witch hat is attached to my head...

Went to NYC on Tuesday to see Conan O'Brien, Kiera Knightly, Dwight Schrute, Tyler Perry, Bill Burr, Nicole Richie, and Agent Michael Scarne. Some we planned to see, but a few were total surprises! As you may or may not know, it's Fashion Week up in the Big Apple and you could definitely tell. There was so many tall, gorgeous, and fashionable women and just a lot of really well dressed people all over the place. It was awesome. I love clothes and shoes so I was like, "Oooo... Ahhhh..." everywhere we went. It made people watching even better! It also made me want to live in NYC again. But in Soho. So, that's a definite no go. Stupid money. Anyway, in Soho, we went to eat at this very lovely place called "Bread". As you might expect from the title, they had really good bread. I ate a lot of it. And learned what "melschun" is. It's actually delicious. Be that as it may, I was definitely not getting fruity pebbles in my pinkberry. Anymore grain in my stomach and I would have exploded. But I did have mango! yum!
Last night was the first floor set at Aero since our store manager up and left us high and dry. I don't know if I've mentioned that in my blog as of yet, but Janine ditched our retail asses. No two weeks notice. Not much notice at all. She just bounced. In hindsight, there was some warning signs that this would happen, but no serious red flags. Be that as it may, things have been a little hectic and dramatic at work, but I've been able to slide through without too much trouble. I've been a quizzical spectator to the drama of young girls. But our new store manager started and he seems to be alright thus far. It's a little early for me to form an opinion of him, but he seemed to have a nice personality and good work ethic and the floor set went more smoothly than usual. I can't hate on that. We got done around 3:30am rather than 6:30am. I don't know if I should credit our new store manager with a better night, but considering I didn't get smoke blown at me on our break makes me like him already.
As much as I don't want to know who these fellers are, they are the Jonas Brothers. The "Jo Bros" if you will. Up until today I thought I had never heard any of their music. Apparently I have known and hated one of their songs since May. Thanks to a customer at Aero, I am now aware of who to direct my hate at.
Some pretty cool things have come along the past few days...as you can see above. The much anticipated, writer's strike effected fourth season of the Office came out Tuesday and I've clearly been devouring it since. Considering how long I've been watching the first, second, and third seasons, I think these DVDs will be in pretty constant rotation. I'm trying to take it slow, though. I haven't even gotten to the third disc. Though I watched the first disc twice. I can see a problem forming already.
I have been holding onto this poster/flyer since 2004. Only took me four years to buy a frame and put it up. Can you believe all the different times I've moved and I've been able to keep it in such nice condition? I can't. And I'm told I don't truly love Army of Me. PSH.
JeNell & the Yets had the honor of gracing the same stage that Army of Me once rocked. Not on the same night unfortunately. Despite Army of Me not being there and it being Nathan's last show, it was a good one. I'm always quiet and nervous before our set, but actually, I was more at ease and excited during the day than I normally am. There was something freeing about knowing that I was going to get a break from it for a little bit. I'm looking forward to the time when I'm excited to play rather than excited to take a break. When that day comes you betta WATCH OUT!
