To the moon!

It's that time of year again.
Now I have to decide whether to take him to the vet or shoot him to the moon.
Decisions, decisions, decisions....

I know exactly what I want

Met up with my good buddy, John, to check out Marina & the Diamonds at the World Live Cafe. Not only did I get to see a band I've never seen before, but I got to ride a train I'd never ridden before either. My ability to get around the city without a car has expanded a lot this month! Trains aside, the show was pretty good. The opener, I forget their name, got a thumbs up from us both. I figure, as openers go, if they don't suck, they're good. So, they were good. Marina was no slouch herself. I was a little distracted by this guy that kept trying to talk to me, but I enjoyed the show nonetheless. It was short, though. I think maybe she should beef up her show with some covers since she doesn't have a lot of material. Or at least play some other material so it doesn't feel like it's over in a blink. That's just my meager opinion, though. Check her out. She's an interesting new artist making the rounds..

Whoee it's Zoee

My mother returned from her California adventure so after one of the saddest Acting for Animation classes (Grave for the Fireflies is SO sad!) I went home to surprise her. So, for once, I have a picture of a dog that isn't Gizmo! It's amazing! When you spend a majority of your time at school or alone you basically wind up with a camera full of dog pictures. Especially if your dog is as photogenic as mine. I know, I'm saying this at the wrong time. The one time I'm not posting a photo of Gizmo. D'oh!

You've got Ed Zachary disease

If you saw my couch in person, you'd be impressed with this photo.
At least, I think you would be. Crazy little mook.

You won't believe this

After an afternoon trolling around the Berlin Farmer's and Flea Market with Jamie, we did the unthinkable. Well, a few months ago it would have been unthinkable. But we took Gizmo to a nearby park that didn't have Billy Joel, but did have a dog park. Gizmo experienced his first dog park! Since it was enclosed, Gizmo was free to roam. That was good and bad. Good for safety, but bad because Gizmo is a huge wuss and was afraid of all the other dogs and tried to climb on my head to escape them. But since the sun was setting when we arrived, people left shortly after we arrived and Gizmo had a ball! Well, he ignored the actual tennis ball that I threw, but he had a ball in the metaphorical sense. Yes. Sure. Ok. Good times.

It's new to moi

Had a very lazy day after a horrible migraine attack the night before. Despite my laziness, I did wash my new-old bike. If I wasn't so lazy I might have ridden it. The weather was perfect for it. But I think the tires need some air and that would have meant I had to go buy a bicycle pump and I was far too lazy for that business. Not to mention far too poor. But at least my bike is now presentable. So, here's presenting it. I definitely need to give my bike a name. Any suggestions?

a wild dog in wildwood

Since my one class of the day was canceled due to the School Picnic, Jamie, Gizmo and I went down to my aunt's gorgeous house in North Wildwood for some sun and fun. There wasn't much sun, but it was fun. Within less than an hour of arriving on Tuesday night, Gizmo found himself in the pool. He was running all around the backyard and I was trying to keep him away from the pool, but clearly he is not the next Messiah. When attempting to run across the pool, he discovered gravity. The following day he took a second dip while trying to just touch the water with his paw. Despite the fact that he was in twice, he was probably only in the water less than 30 seconds. I always pulled him right out. It scared me! I don't like to see him struggle! Maybe next summer I'll take him down and see if he'll actually swim a bit. It was really, really cold so there wasn't too much swimming going on. Just a day that showed me what it would be like to have a toddler. And I'm clearly not ready for no babies.

FAME UGH

Hit up a huge label party hosted by Columbia Records with Jamie. It's nice to be honored for our incredible contribution to the music business. It's about time. After all we did back in '07-'09. I was really flattered to be featured in the Columbia Records display case. We also killed at "Cornhole". I'm not into that name. I think I'll rename it, "Throw the Washy" instead. So, Jamie and I played Throw the Washy and were undefeated. It got pretty boring slaughtering all these other artists at Throw the Washy so we ditched and hit up the hottest joint around; the Cheesecake Factory. And what happened there? They put a damn spotlight on me at my seat! I can't go anywhere without being recognized anymore! But Jamie was working hard so I would forgive her for knowing Paramore songs by buying me a drink and some cheesecake. It worked! We're finally friends again! Cheesecake solves all problems! Except lying. It doesn't make people stop lying.

Troubles Bubbles

Due to Shermin possibly needing a new battery and/or alternator, I had to skip class and go home. Going home is never a total loss, but the bonus was that I got to spend some time with my mother and my brother. So, if I had to skip, at least I got to see people I don't see so much anymore! Luckily, Shermin doesn't need a new battery or a new alternator. Unfortunately, corrosion has eaten away at some wiring and I'm quite sure that VW will charge us an arm and a leg. Going to be hard to drive without them.

Another wonderful day in the neighborhood

Little did I know, I had left my lights on and would return to a car with a dead battery and thus have an awful evening. At least I don't need a new alternator. . . yet.

I Love Paul

I was extremely lucky to be given the opportunity to attend my 3rd Paul McCartney show. Definitely feeling very blessed to have ever gone even one time so the fact that I've now gone to see him three times is beyond amazing. And he didn't let me down. Obviously, I successfully sneaked my camera in this time and got some snaps. I also took a video, but I haven't put that up anywhere yet. But believe me, it was fantastic and I'm very grateful to the McCarthy clan for allowing me to have the opportunity to go! It was especially great to go with a family that was so well versed in the history of the Beatles. I learned a lot. ;)

Just another Saturday

In case you wondered, as I did, if Fuddrucker's sold turkey burgers, they do. And they are delish.

If you ever got the sudden worry that Fandango could lie to you, as I wondered, about where a movie is playing and when, they do. They are liars.

If you ever wondered if, as I did, The Other Guys was any good, it was. But I did think it would be better than it was. I was mildly disappointed, but I do not live in regret! After all, I learned a lot about tuna and sharks.

Trapped like beavers

Another adventure to Philly that lead to feet covered in blisters. And no fireworks to make up for it or anything. Let's blame the fact that it was Friday the 13th rather than my shoes. Deal? Deal.
