Gizmo the Grouch

That's right, today, four years ago, Gizmo Wilkerstinitious came into this world! And with that, a life was saved; my own! He's difficult, he's moody, but he's loved beyond words can express! Perhaps even more than music can express. Not to say I haven't tried! Hm, born on Boxing Day, maybe that's why he's such a fighter. If he wasn't so cute, he'd be living in a trashcan.♥ ♥ ♥

you could never hold my hand in public
Gizmo Wilkerstinitious received his least favorite of things tonight; a bath. His skin problems aren't much improved despite all the trips to the vet and special shampoos and what not, but we preserver! It is worth it in the end. He looks devastatingly handsome and is a bit calmer on the itch-scratch front. My hands on the other hand are very unhappy. This medicated shampoo burns the many little nicks and cuts on my hands and makes them so raw and dry. Lotion will be no use to me as they're at their dry point of bursting into flames if any sort of lotion is put about them asides from basically pure petroleum jelly. But if you've ever put petroleum jelly on your hands you know it's a huge, gross feeling mess. So, that must wait! My hands will just have to suffer until then. In somewhat related news, I have a blister on my finger from the hangers at work. Isn't that ridiculous? I need to quit on that basis alone. I've got blisters on me fingers!
And for all of you haters out there, Gizmo is not a prick. He just loves me more than the average monkey, chicken, or dog. Ferociously so!

because you're worth it, you're really worth it
I took a little video of Samuel opening the gifts my mother and I brought over because he was so cute about it, putting clothes on his head and throwing them across the room, but I won't bother to post it up here! It's not quality film work! It's not up to snuff for my blog! And, excuse me, it's personal. Geez. You guys are rude. ;)
So, hey, Merry Christmas, ya'llz.

congratulations, cause we made it all the way home
Got some new lights. Trying to salvage some Christmas spirit. You'd think I'm full of it considering that I'm all done shopping, my room is sparkling with festive lights, and I did a cover of "Blue Christmas" for the band page. But I'm not really. I can't believe next week is Christmas. These weeks have been flying by. No doubt about that. For awhile I thought December 11th would never arrive, and now it's been and gone.
I'm not sure if it's Christmas that is bumming me out or the fact that I have to go to work tomorrow. Hmmm...

I've never stuck a toe in

This photo is for the persons involved in the accident that left me without my car for the entire month of November. November; as in the month my car needed to be inspected. Thanks to your poor defensive driving skills, I had to sit in a line at the inspection station for an hour. Without my cellphone. It's not directly your fault that I forgot my cellphone at home, but I indirectly blame you. Despite all of this folly, Shermin passed inspection and we're gonna keep on kickin' it! Can't stop, won't stop!

Takes a lickin, keeps on kickin
Got Shermin back. He doesn't look like this no' mo. Good as new for the most part. Though, the speakers that were in and out of death before the incident are now completely deceased. If that's the only casualty that I have to pay for in an accident that resulted in four grand worth of damages I guess I should be happy. And I was very happy to see my Bugger when I got home. Totally hugged my car. Fingers crossed that I can get him inspected before the police have the chance to see that it's December and I was supposed to have it inspected in November. Kind of hard to have your car inspected for the month of November when it's gone from the last week of October until now, though. I don't think the authorities will give a flying squirrel about that! Wish me luck! My bank account cannot carry a ticket!

Can we afford to do this?
Saturday, November 8, 2008
Oh yes we can!
If Obama hadn't won, I think the nation would be in some serious mourning. I distinctly don't recall this kind of jubilation either time that Bush got into office. Be that as it may, I liked this song so I wanted to share it. It's so upbeat :)

this is why I'm having a bad week
Yesterday, I had a crappy day at work and came home and pretty much hibernated in my bedroom all evening. I was happy that day was over when it ended. Then when I woke up this morning feeling extremely groggy and dreading work. Well, lucky me, I didn't wind up getting to work until noon because an accident occurred outside my house and my car, Shermin, was taken into the fray. I was practically on my way out when I heard the horrible sound of cars colliding. This isn't a foreign sound. I live on a highway and despite it being a residential area with a speed limit of 35mph, people drive down the road like bats out of hell and frequently there is accidents. And it's common place if you live in my house to have that moment of terror when you think someone has hit your car. So, I looked out my bedroom window, but I couldn't see my car from my angle, but I saw a car up the road a bit and figured the accident occurred too far up to have involved my car. I was wrong. My car had been pushed from right next to my driveway down in front of my neighbor's driveway; I can't estimate how many feet that is. I'd guess 20? I don't know. So, to make a long story short, Shermin is at the body shop and hopefully the damage can be repaired. But it sucks. While the other peoples' insurance companies battle out who is at fault, we're going to be stuck paying the deductible just for living on a shitty street. Financially we've seen better days. Things just keep gettin better and better! And in the words of my manager, "I can't believe it's November next week." - Fucking aye.

the worst is behind
Two things happened that haven't happened in a long, long time. One: I ate Chinese food. I hate Chinese food, but there's only 4 choices for food in the mall. Salad Works, Luca's Pizza, Auntie Anne's, and the Chinese food place. I only stopped in to see what kind of chicken they had and the lady behind the counter kept giving me pieces of it to try. I couldn't deny that the chicken was pretty good so I got some. The rice sucked. Two: I got a raise! I'd like to say more about that, but I'm not permitted. If I say anymore about it, I'll be terminated. As in, a cyborg from the future will come back and kill me. So, that being said, wooooooooooooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Just one sucky night all around
I have a slew of canker sores in my mouth so I'm reliving the glory days of when I could move my mouth more easily. Oh, it's like it was only yesterday, but actually it was Saturday. And now I'm feeling sick. I don't like the state of my glands. And am I the only one that has to avoid watching the debates because the pounding of their own heart is too unbearable? That's weird, isn't it? Yeah. A little weird. Anyway, check this out... if you want. What do you have to lose other than a few moments of your time?Monday, September 29, 2008
you got it, you're wow wow wow wow
This is fuckin' weird.
I think I prefer this. I guess I'm just a new age kind of girl.
And now I return to my extensive work on cardiovascular disease.

do you find me sadistic?
There's a little something that I have to speak about here in my blog. It's not really little, but I have to speak about it. It's important to me to speak about. I would have made an update about it yesterday, but I was too bummed about it and I had a show in Pitman to prepare for and perform at. Be that as it may, you probably read that Paul Newman passed away on Friday. As with all terrible news, my brother, Andrew, informed me of this. He didn't intend to this time, though. When I sign on AIM I frequently first browse my friends away messages and it just so happens that his said, "RIP Cool Hand Luke" and I swear the world stopped turning for a second. Granted, he was 83 years old and that's a nice long life to have led by all means, but it's just sad. I adore Paul Newman. Even his cookies. Every time my mother goes to the store, I request Ginger-o's which is a cookie made by the Paul Newman company. For weeks she was unable to find them and while we were in Target just the other week, I turned the corner and there they were! And I was skipping and so happy! Now I think there will be a bittersweet taste in every bite. :(So, now I'm going to fill up my blog with all the beauty that is Paul Newman. Well, all the beauty that I could find and could be encompassed in photographs. But if you haven't seen any Paul Newman movies, you need to do so. Recommendations: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, Cool Hand Luke, The Long, Hot Summer, The Hudsucker Proxy, Empire Falls, Nobody's Fool.. Alright, I just named all the ones I've seen. Loved them all, though!

I think my brother put it best...
RIP Cool Hand Luke

the question is, do you love him?
And this song is for anyone that can bare it. It's awful. And I have to hear it a lot. Well, not as much as I used to as hours at Aero were cut. But when it came on today at Aero I happened to be in the stock room and I was finally able to see who the geniuses were that made this disaster! So take a listen... if you dare!!

No, I'm not going to sleep with you anymore
So, I got my hair did! I don't know how I feel about it. I tried to take my color back to it's natural hue. I cut some length off and thinned it out a bit. What do you think? I'm a little uneasy about it. Maybe if I dye my eyebrows to match I'll feel better? Maybe I won't feel like this witch hat is attached to my head...Joel Madden; a man of substance, not just good looks

whatever whenever

Went to NYC on Tuesday to see Conan O'Brien, Kiera Knightly, Dwight Schrute, Tyler Perry, Bill Burr, Nicole Richie, and Agent Michael Scarne. Some we planned to see, but a few were total surprises! As you may or may not know, it's Fashion Week up in the Big Apple and you could definitely tell. There was so many tall, gorgeous, and fashionable women and just a lot of really well dressed people all over the place. It was awesome. I love clothes and shoes so I was like, "Oooo... Ahhhh..." everywhere we went. It made people watching even better! It also made me want to live in NYC again. But in Soho. So, that's a definite no go. Stupid money. Anyway, in Soho, we went to eat at this very lovely place called "Bread". As you might expect from the title, they had really good bread. I ate a lot of it. And learned what "melschun" is. It's actually delicious. Be that as it may, I was definitely not getting fruity pebbles in my pinkberry. Anymore grain in my stomach and I would have exploded. But I did have mango! yum! In other news, everyone at Aero is having their hours cut. Since school got back in, the sales have dropped off and there's just no hours. It won't be like this forever, but I'm a little bummed about the drop in money that's coming my way in the new few weeks. I've been cutting back on spending the past few months, but I suppose I should cut back even more. This trip to NYC did not help with the cut back either. Ah well.
Here's my next installment of Songs I Hate at Aero:
Jamie, you like this band! They do that "Jerk Me" song! Are you making Aero mix CDs for the company?! If you are, stop putting dumb songs on there! They suck if you only have to hear them one time but it's torture to hear them over and over and over... ;)
